Level One is designed for new students in
the Himalayan Yoga Tradition's Continuing Studies and Teacher
Training Program. This 2-week ashram-style retreat will focus
on the Level 1 curriculum, which is required for both our
200 and 600 hour programs. The topics include Meditation,
Raja Yoga, Yoga Sutras, Philosophy, Hatha Yoga, Pranayama,
Anatomy, Yoga Nidra, Psychology, Holistic Health, and Teaching
Methodology (see sample schedule below).
Level Two is the continuation of the 600 hour
HYT program. After attending the first level retreat and completing
the home study assignments associated with it, the student will
go through the ten topics covered in the program in a greater
depth.
Level Three is the synthesis and the integration
of what the student has learned through the first two levels.
The student will learn to deepen his sadhana and to integrate
all the aspects of the teachings into his daily life.
Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama is an

walking distance to the holy river Ganga, and about five hundred

Tradition of Yoga and Meditation and the world headquarters
of the Association of Himalayan Yoga Meditation Societies International
(AHYMSIN).
It can house up to one hundred guests in forty simply furnished
single and family cottages. The cottages feature one or two
bedrooms, meditation room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom with
shower (hot and cold water) and western style toilet.
Sadhaka Grama serves as a retreat center for individuals or

atmosphere.
The surrounding area is known as Deva Bhumi (land
of the gods). Rishikesh, the city of two hundred ashrams, is
a city bustling with presence and activities of the world's
most ancient spiritual traditions. Varieties of spiritual organizations
offer a range of learning opportunities in the area of ancient
scriptures.
The nearby ancient spiritual city of Haridwar offers a wonderful
diversion, blending pilgrimage with "insight-seeing" and shopping.
Balance vegetarian meals are cooked and served from the common
kitchen. Special menu requests from groups can also be accommodated.
Due to the center's spiritual origin and affiliations, no meat
or alcohol consumption is permitted; no smoking is allowed on
the premises.
